Greek Art
Lesson about Greek Sculpture, Architecture, Literature and Pottery. You will learn why the Venus de Milo has such a name, who the “Seated Boxer” is and where the metopes in Parthenon are.
We will talk about harmony, balance, symmetry, architectural orders (Doric, Ionic, Corinthian), sculpture: Archaic, Classical to Hellenistic and ceramics: Geometric to black/red vase figure wares.

Roman Art
The Roman Empire fell, but left a grand mark in the history of mankind. We will discuss impressive monuments: the famous Colosseum, the ruins of the Forum, the Pantheon, triumphal arches and much more. We will talk about how art developed and changed until the Great Migration of Nations and the collapse of the Roman Empire.

Byzantine
Art of the Eastern Roman Empire from 4th Century CE to the Fall of the Roman Empire. We are going to talk about 17 most important pieces of architecture, painting and fine arts.
Here you will learn about Christian art form that was derived from forms of Greek and Egyptian. And we will study mosaics, icons, panel painting, and architectural terminology specific to Byzantine structures.

Middle Ages
We will discuss 2 main styels: Romanesque and Gothic. In Romanesque style arts flourished behind the castle walls: monks, artists and jewelers created books, paintings of an amazing beauty. Then it was replaced by Gothic Art. These are beautiful cathedrals with many magnificent sculptural decorations and stained glass windows.
Regarding the Romanesque style you will learn about muscular architecture, rounded headed arches, linear
sculpture, distorted to convey religious emotion. And we will comapre it with Gothic structures - flying buttresses, rib vaults, pointed arches, stained glass.

When we think about the Renaissance era, we think about Leonardo and Michelangelo. The Renaissance is a period of great ambitious projects and rethinking of the art of Ancient Greece and Rome, a time of great discoveries, great political and economic upheavals.

I did my initial teacher training in Italy. I then received my post-graduate teaching certificate and diploma in International Education from the University of Nottingham, England. At the same time, I continued to gain experience in teaching in international schools and in teaching associations abroad.
I taught in Italy for 3 years, in Spain for 1 year, and in Russia for 7 years, as well as teaching in summer schools in Austria, Bulgaria, and the USA. I have a wealth of experience teaching both children and adults. I get great pleasure from helping others to learn and develop!
Currently, in addition to teaching, I am involved in theater group and local choir, where I manage to train my voice to make it even clearer and easier to hear.
